Pedro Oliveira

About Me

My name is Pedro Oliveira and, currently, I'm an Artificial Intelligence R&D Intern at Clark&Parsia LLC, in Washington D.C.
Between 2004 and 2009, I was a student at the University of Coimbra, in Portugal, graduating with a dual-degree (Bachelor's and Master's) in Informatics Engineering. During that time, I've worked on several academic and industrial projects as a Student Research Associate at the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra. In my Master's thesis, I've studied the appliance of Statistical Relational Learning techniques to learn and reason about uncertainty in the Semantic Web.
My main research interests lie in the fields of the Semantic Web, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.
